In today's episode, we encounter Nicodemus for the first time in John's Gospel. He is a well-documented historical figure, a Pharisee, and a member of Israel's Supreme Court- the Sanhedrin. He only has one problem- he is outside of the Kingdom of God looking in. Jesus gives him the only means of entrance into God's Kingdom.....the new birth!

The longest chapter in the book of Genesis is devoted to Abraham finding a bride for his son of promise, Isaac. We find Abraham's servant dispatched to his homeland of Mesopotamia to find the ideal candidate. Abraham is convinced that "God will send His Angel" before the servant to prepare the way. After the first sign of turning the water to wine, Jesus moves to Capernaum. In this narrative He comes to Jerusalem for the Pilgrim Feast of Passover. He finds the court of the Gentiles corrupted with those that were selling sacrificial animals and exchanging money for Temple Shekels. Christ cleanses the Temple. When many see HIs miraculous signs, they believe, but Jesus does not entrust Himself to them.
