The Olivet Discourse (Part I) - Matthew 23:37-24:3

In today's episode, we take a fresh look at the Olivet Discourse.  Many mistakenly assume that Jesus is addressing Church Age believers in Matthew 24-25.  What we will attempt to show is that the Church isn't even under consideration here.  Matthew is explaining the postponement of the Kingdom and the circumstances by which it will come. 

”What Made America Great”

2 Thessalonians 2:13-17 ”YOU are loved by God!”

After correcting the false teaching the Thessalonian believers had received, Paul turns to comfort them.  He reminds them that they are loved by God.   They have been chosen, sanctified by the Spirit, and are destined for glory!  These are reminders that we all need when we are shaken by distressing news and fiery trials! 

2 Thessalonians 2: ”The Mystery of Iniquity”

The new believers in Thessalonica had received a disturbing report stating that they had missed the Rapture (catching away of I Thess 4) and were in the "Day of the LORD" (the Tribulation period).  Paul writes to them to allay their fears.  He states there is something (rather someOne) who is restraining the antichrist from being revealed.   Join us with an open bible as we see just what that's all about. 

I Thessalonians 5: A Thief In The Night?

In the final chapter of Paul's first letter to the Thessalonians, he addresses concerns and questions they have about the "Day of the LORD".   This term is found in the Old Testament numerous times and is always referring to the period of darkness the NT refers to as the Tribulation period.   Paul assures these believers that they don't need to worry about the Day of the LORD because they have not been appointed to wrath.

After The Rapture: ”Left Behind”

In today's episode, we look at what the world can expect after The Rapture of the Church.  The believer will be taken to Heaven and appear before the Judgment Seat of Christ to receive his/her reward(s).   Those left behind (unbelievers) will face an unprecedented time of hardship.  Jesus describes even the earliest period of the Tribulation as the "beginning of sorrows" (Matt 24:8).   Much fiction exists concerning this time period, but open the Bible with us and see what God actually has to say about it.

Feast of Trumpets 2022

In today's episode we look at the biblical observance of the Feast of Trumpets and its ongoing significance.  

Genesis 11:1-9 ”The Tower of Babel”

Genesis 10 records the "Table of Nations", or in other words,  where the descendants of Shem, Ham, and Japheth ended up.   Genesis 11 explains how the dispersion happened.  The world was all of one speech and words.   In their pride they decided to build a city, a tower, and a name for themselves.   All of this was done independent of God.  As we shall see, God comes down and has the final word. 

Genesis 9:18-29 ”Somewhere After The Rainbow”

In today's episode, we look at one of the tragic stories in the Noahic narrative.   A moment of indiscretion brings disaster upon some of the descendants of this family.    We see the dangers of alcohol abuse and also the biblical mandate for filial love and compassion for those who fall.  We will also look at some of the comparisons between Adam and Noah.
