Revelation 2:1-7 ”The Church of Ephesus”

In today's episode we look at the first of 7 letters to the churches in Asia Minor (modern-day Turkey).  The Church of Ephesus seemed like a desirable church from all outward appearances.  They were active and zealous for the ministry and for the name of Christ.  But there was one fatal flaw:  They had left Jesus in the process!!  He encourages them to return to their first Love and gives precious promises to the overcomer.  

Revelation 1:12-20 ”John’s Vision of the Glorified Christ”

In today's episode we look at the conclusion of "part one" of Revelation's 3-fold division.  John receives an awesome vision of Jesus Christ in His glory!  The images, symbols, and descriptions will prove helpful in interpreting the next section (letters to the 7 churches).  John is overwhelmed with the presence of the glorified Jesus but Jesus tells him to "fear not" and gives him the outline of the prophecy of Revelation.  

Revelation 1:9-11 ”I, John, Your Brother, and Companion”

In today's episode we look at John's greetings to the 7 churches.  He identifies with them as a brother and a companion in 3 aspects:  tribulation, the Kingdom, and perseverance.    John was banished to the island of Patmos for preaching God's Word.   But in his tribulation, he was also "in the Spirit" and received a glorious revelation of the risen Christ.  If you're in a difficult place in your life, open your heart to receive ministry from the Holy Spirit in a fresh and new outpouring and infilling.  

Introduction to the Book of Revelation

Revelation 1:1-8 ”The Prologue”

In today's episode we take a look at the Prologue to the book of Revelation.   It contains the title of the Book, the method by which it was communicated, the recipients of the Book, and the major theme of the Book.    We also learn there is a blessing for the one who reads the prophecy and those that hear and heed its message. 

Matthew 24:23-31 ”The Gathering of the Elect”

We continue in the Olivet Discourse today in Matthew 24.   Jesus now takes us to the end of the Tribulation period and discusses the final sign to appear.  He also makes another mention of the mass deception that will take place during that time period.  There will be a "signs and wonders" movement on Planet Earth led by the Dragon, the Beast and the False Prophet.  The Word of God is our safeguard against any and all forms of deception. 

Matthew 24:15-22 ”The Abomination of Desolation and Israel’s Flight”

In our continuing study of the Olivet Discourse, today we get to the midpoint of the Tribulation.  Jesus points the Apostles to the key sign of the end which was predicted by the prophet Daniel.  When they see the "Abomination of Desolation" they are to flee immediately.   The second half of the Tribulation will prove to be devastating to the Jewish people alive during that time.  Join us as we go verse by verse through the passage. 

The Beginning of Birth Pains (Matt 24:4-14)

Today, we discuss some of the events of the first half of the Tribulation. A careful examination of this passage will show that the events of Matthew 24:4-14 are yet future and parallel the seal judgments of Revelation 6. Matthew does not go into detail about the 70 AD destruction of Jerusalem and the temple. He does however talk about the events that will usher in the Kingdom (Abomination of Desolation, etc.). What are the "birth pains"? What is the Gospel of the Kingdom? These are questions we will attempt to answer in this message.

The Olivet Discourse (Part I) - Matthew 23:37-24:3

In today's episode, we take a fresh look at the Olivet Discourse.  Many mistakenly assume that Jesus is addressing Church Age believers in Matthew 24-25.  What we will attempt to show is that the Church isn't even under consideration here.  Matthew is explaining the postponement of the Kingdom and the circumstances by which it will come.
