In this episode, we see the fall of the Babylonian empire.  Nebuchadnezzar had been humbled by God and then he acknowledge the LORD as the "Most High" God.   His grandson Belshazzar was lifted up with pride but he refused to repent.   His days were numbered and his kingdom was finished.   The Medo-Persian Empire would conquer him in one night. 

Daniel 3 "The Fiery Trial of Faith"

In today's message, we review the narrative of the 3 Hebrew men who refused to bow down to the statue of Nebuchadnezzar.   They are thrown into a blazing furnace, but something interesting happens.  A fourth man appears in the fire with them and rescues them.   As you and I endure our "fiery trials of faith" (I Peter 4:12) we can learn and receive great comfort from this true biblical narrative.
