At the conclusion of Jesus' sermon on the mount, he commands to enter at the strait (narrow) gate. He contrasts the narrow way and the broad way, good trees and bad trees, "sayers" and "doers", and finally wise builders and foolish builders. Where will you spend eternity?

Jesus enters Jerusalem on this Palm Sunday just as predicted by the prophet Zachariah. He rides in on a borrowed donkey, is hailed as Messiah by the crowds, rejected by the religious leaders, and predicts the future judgment on on Jerusalem that would happen just a few decades later.

He was eager to share the Good News. He was not ashamed of the Good News. It's the power of God unto salvation!

Psalm 2 is a Messianic Psalm which is quoted/referenced in the New Testament at least 18 times, more than any other Psalm. In this Psalm, David questioned why the world resists God and His Messiah. Nothing has changed. Nevertheless, the King is coming and His reign will be forever!

In Mark 6 14-29 we find the gruesome tale of the death of the last Old Testament Prophet John The Baptist. Evil Tetrarch Herod and his evil wife Herodias are in an ungodly and immoral relationship. When JTB speaks against their sin, Herodias plots his demise. Ultimately he is beheaded for taking a stand!
